Life is beyond control
Not out of control
Just not controlled by you

A great example of this is reading: you do not even know until you finish reading, what this sentence is going to say. Then our ego takes credit for having ‘read’. When you don’t know the answer to a question you ask yourself what the answer might be, and often you are presented with an answer. Clearly the ego – our own mental image of ourselves – is not responsible for these feats. Similarly the situation we find ourselves in life has a large effect on the person that appears as a result. This is when we start to see that this is a large system, in which we are but a small part. I find this fascinating and a great release from stress rather than depressing.
