Age has taken strength,
Nothing has come to fill what’s left behind,
But silent weariness
and a lonely death…

But with wisdom;

A gift greater than silver hair
Is given to those with kind, wrinkled eyes,
And hands that have worked a lifetime,
To make living life worthwhile.

    This poem for me, resonates; it speaks of a lifetime, to reap my dues, wisdom…
    but towards the end….why? To prepare for what comes next?

    Peace, Eric

    Hello Mark.
    Wisdom, knowledge & understanding do indeed come with age & maturity. Sadly, because of sin & imperfection, we age & will one day return to the dust of the earth from whence we came.

    Poignant piece of writing from you.
    Thanks for sharing & visiting. I’m happy I’m not alone in My Meltdown {Moment} #2. LOL
