Truly Living Life

It is easy to forget ourselves in possessions, in status.
But he or she who knows they have nothing cannot be distracted,
To them belongs the gift of truly living life.

Such simple lines, but with quite an extraordinary deep truth to them. Poverty isn’t something you want to live, but I also think that having too much takes your focus off of living life to the fullest. I have enough, not too much nor too little, but enough that I can appreciate every little thing that God gives me.
Wonderful piece; praying you have an awesome day.

Many thanks elizena – have a great day yourself, and thank-you for reading and commenting. I don’t think having wealth necessarily stops you understanding life or gaining wisdom, but it can certainly obscure it. I think the key is in knowing our possessions and status may all be very nice, but they aren’t real and may disappear at any point. We have to make peace with that.
