Spectator

Free to watch life as a spectator
We can enjoy what would be terribly painful
As a participant

Freedom comes as yin and yang.
Freedom to simply watch time go by as many a spectator of life does.
Or the freedom to “do” with the time we are given.
As an example I find myself reminding friends to please not bother sending invites to play computer games as I’m WAY to busy doing things for real, Rather then play war I choose to train in martial arts and avoid violence. Or plant and grow rather then play in a virtual garden.
But true freedom is an illusion anyway so that just means I’m probably fooling myself lol.

Yes it certainly seems important that we feel we are making the most of our life. At the other end of the scale we can take it all too seriously however, and that is what I am getting at here. As with all things, balance. Thanks for your comments Ron.
